style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I graduated from \u00c7ukurova University, Faculty of Education in 1986 and Istanbul University Institute of Business Economics in 1987. Whilst completing a masters in Marketing at Istanbul University, I was working as an English language teacher at Kabata\u015f High School. I established PSG Education in 1989, consulting young people and their families on their future plans for education. After working in various sectors, I moved to the UK with my family in 2002 and completed an MBA at the University of Southampton in 2003. I continued working at the university to manage projects aimed at improving its educational processes. I later worked as a teacher and attended various training courses such as CELTA, Career Guidance in Schools, Transactional Analysis and Group Facilitation. Since 2006, I have been a governor in Thornden Secondary School (2006-2016) and Barton Peveril College (2016-present). <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Looking back, I was observant as a child, inquisitive as a young person, questioning as an adult \u2026 I have always asked \u2018how\u2019 and \u2018why\u2019, wishing to think, learn and apply what I have learned for the wider benefit. I am happy to be able to fulfill this wish once more through CAPS...<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #5d5d5d; font-size: 100%;\">\t<\/div>\n\t\n\t<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 100%;\"><span style=\"color: #5d5d5d;\">.\t<div id=\"bio5\"\n\t     class=\"lightbox-by-id lightbox-content mfp-hide lightbox-white \"\n\t     style=\"max-width:600px ;padding:20px\">\n\t\t<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I completed my undergraduate degree in Business in 1996. Since then, I have been responsible for education abroad programmes and administration in PSG Education. The motivation and energy with which we have connected with thousands of students and their families, ultimately making a positive difference in their lives, has been unwavering throughout the years. I am responsible for the administrative and financial processes within\u00a0 CAPS. I make sure that we are always solution-oriented, responsive, creative and efficient with our clients whose needs are always prioritised. <\/span><\/p>\n\t<\/div>\n\t\n\t\n\t<div id=\"bio2\"\n\t     class=\"lightbox-by-id lightbox-content mfp-hide lightbox-white \"\n\t     style=\"max-width:600px ;padding:20px\">\n\t\t\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I completed an MSc in Cross-Cultural Psychology in the UK and obtained my doctoral degree in the Netherlands in the same field. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I had the opportunity to become familiar with the guidance and counselling curriculum during my time working in schools. I came to realise that there was barely any substantial career guidance within the curriculum. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Therefore, since I joined PSG Education and Career in early 2016, my primary role has been to conduct extensive academic literature reviews related to careers education and guidance. Alongside my colleagues, we investigated careers guidance practices across the world and participated in various training programmes. Years of intense research and development have fruitfully paid off in the form of our unique and effective modules. My priority in the CAPS project is to reduce the workload of educational institutions by providing efficient solutions throughout the whole career construction process. In line with this, I actively work on developing online questionnaires, creating reports, preparing teacher training programmes, writing articles and developing tailor-based modules according to schools\u2019 needs. <\/span><\/p>\n\t<\/div>\n\t\n\t\n\t<div id=\"bio3\"\n\t     class=\"lightbox-by-id lightbox-content mfp-hide lightbox-white \"\n\t     style=\"max-width:600px ;padding:20px\">\n\t\t\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I completed my BA and MSc in Psychological Counselling and Guidance at Y\u0131ld\u0131z Technical University. I have come to realise that students strive to be extremely successful in their personal and professional lives, but that their unsuitable and unrealistic choices make them unhappy. Therefore, as part of my postgraduate dissertation, I investigated perfectionism, fear of negative evaluation and inferiority.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During my school experience, I observed that the career guidance curriculum was limited to focusing on simply choosing an occupation and that the personal development of students was not sufficiently supported. Therefore, my aim is to empower students during the career planning process by highlighting the necessity of self-understanding and realistic goal-setting\u00a0 in facilitating happiness and success.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I adopt a student-centered career construction perspective, guided by up-to-date scientific research on development, learning, neuroscience and career construction. I work on creatively translating abstract research findings into curricular programmes and in-class activities. <\/span><\/p>\n\t<\/div>\n\t\n\t\n\t<div id=\"bio4\"\n\t     class=\"lightbox-by-id lightbox-content mfp-hide lightbox-white \"\n\t     style=\"max-width:600px ;padding:20px\">\n\t\t\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I have a BA In Psychological Counseling and Guidance and a minor in Sociology (completed in English) from Marmara University. I completed the Family Counseling Programme at the same university. During my internships, I came to realise that career guidance within schools is in great need of improvement and I decided to pursue a career in this field. Informed by scientific research, I aim to support students in making sense of their life experiences by facilitating an understanding of their emotions, thoughts, attitudes, beliefs, values and behaviours.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As well as supporting my colleagues in every aspect of CAPS, my primary roles include school liaison, implementing the tailor-made CAPS programmes in schools, analysing the needs of teachers and counsellors, and preparing and providing in-class
